General Terms

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
 
A request for availability is non-binding and does not constitute a contract for either the Guest or B&B Villa Maria Giovanna.
 
A booking request is binding for the Guest but not for B&B Villa Maria Giovanna, which reserves the right not to accept the booking.
 
The booking confirmation sent by B&B Villa Maria Giovanna to the Guest is binding for both parties and constitutes the completion of the booking agreement with an option.
 
To confirm the booking, we require a deposit equal to 20% of the total amount. The Guest must pay the deposit within 4 days from the date on which the payment details are sent, after which the option will be removed and the booking will be definitively confirmed.
 
At that point, B&B Villa Maria Giovanna will send the Guest a confirmation email.
 
Pets are not allowed.
 
 
CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
 
Check-in time: from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Check-out time: by 10:00 a.m.
unless otherwise agreed in advance

Free services:
Unattended private parking.
B&B Villa Maria Giovanna shall not be held liable for any damage to or theft of vehicles.

Each room is equipped with a safe for storing money and valuables. Guests are required to keep their valuables in the safe and to ensure that it is properly locked whenever they leave the room. B&B Villa Maria Giovanna shall not be held liable for any theft or loss.

TOURIST TAX
 
Please note that a Tourist Tax has been in force throughout the municipality of Giardini Naxos since 2012.
The tax is €1 per person, per day and applies from 1 March to 31 October each year.
This tax is imposed by the local authorities and is not at our discretion. It will be collected at check-out and subsequently paid to the Municipality. The tax applies for a maximum of 10 consecutive nights, even for stays exceeding this duration.
Children under the age of 14 are exempt from payment.

PAYMENT METHODS
 
Deposit: 20% at the time of booking by bank transfer, Postepay top-up or PayPal.
Balance: payable upon arrival.

CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES:
 
Cancellations may be made by telephone at +39 320 8178589 or by email at info@villamariagiovanna.it.

Cancellations or changes made more than 20 days before the arrival date will result in the refund of the deposit, less any applicable fees.
 
Cancellations or changes made within 20 days of the arrival date, as well as No-Shows (failure to arrive at the accommodation), are subject to a cancellation fee equal to 20% of the total cost of the stay, corresponding to the deposit paid.
 
Cancellations or changes made after arrival are subject to a penalty of 100% of the total booking amount.
 
No refund will be provided in the event of early departure.
 
Guest’s Liability
If the Guest causes any damage to the accommodation or its contents, the Guest will be held responsible for such damage. The relevant costs will be charged to the Guest upon departure.

JURISDICTION
 
For any dispute arising in connection with the interpretation, performance and/or termination of booking agreements to which these terms and conditions apply and in which B&B Villa Maria Giovanna is a party, the Court of Messina shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
