ETNA SOFT TREKKING AT SUNSET

Enjoy a breathtaking sunset on the highest active volcano in Europe.

Meeting at 5:00 p.m. at the Hotel/Restaurant Rifugio Sapienza at an altitude of 1,900 m.

The route takes place in the southern part of the Etna area at an altitude of 1,700 m.

Along the way you will be captivated by typical Etna scenery, among recent lava flows and lush conifer and broadleaf forests. You will be able to observe the typical Etna shelters, including one with a nearby vertical lava-flow cave once used as a snow storage (Neviera).

Distance about 5 km. Total ascent gain 107 m.
